Low grade plastic headlights on US spec models have sent E36 owners to upgrade their headlight to the euro spec glass projector headlight making these adapters necessary, the include the correct 9006 (low beam) and 9005 (high beam) female type connectors and make for a simple plug and play install on all US/Canadian spec 3 series BMW. The gray wire provides power to the angel eye (if installed). There are several brands of euro spec headlights including ZKW, DEPO and DJ Auto. These fits them all.
